Masondale Cottage & the Lincolnshire Wolds - an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty

Masondale Cottage sits at the edge of the Lincolnshire Wolds with unrivalled panoramic views of the Vale of Ancholme looking across to the Lincoln Edge or "Cliff" as it is know locally, with Lincoln Cathedral prominent on the horizon.

Absolutely "away from it all" the cottage is situated within Otby Farm, which is close to the villages of Walesby and Tealby (noted as one of prettiest villages in the county) and the market towns of Louth and Market Rasen (with its Race Course) are nearby. A public footpath that very soon joins the Viking Way passes through the farm.

Quality in Tourism inspection summary. Four Star self-catering maintained.

The location of this house is excellent, and the accommodation is very spacious, and bathrooms are provided for each bedroom. A really great property offering a quiet and private location, and excellent views over the Wolds. Great walking and biking countryside on the doorstep.

April was a bit of a whirl but finally all the sheep have had their lambs.

Once again there is a lot to do out and about on the Lincolnshire Wolds especially with the Wolds Walking Festival planned for May. There are organised walks all over the Wolds, take a look at their website for details.

If a Spa day is more what you are looking for to relax then we can highly recommend Kenwick Park, just under 20 miles from Masondale Cottage where they have lovely facilities to enhance your stay.

Lincolnshire Wildlife Trust have many sites around the county including Whisby Nature Park where until the 25th June there is a ‘Birds on the Wing’ exhibition that explores the life and beauty of both garden and wetland birds. There is also plenty for the children to do and explore here including an adventure playground.
